3 Reasons You Should Go To Italy for Your Summer Holiday

Now that winter is coming to an end and summer is only a few months away, it’s time to start thinking about your summer holiday. But with so many destinations to choose from, it can be difficult deciding on where to visit. How about this year you try something new and visit Italy? It’s a country full of history and culture as well as some of the best tourist attractions in the world. I’ve been there many times, and I’m going again in June! Read these excellent reasons why you should travel to Italy and see what it has to offer:

You can go skiing

Italy is often associated with warmer weather and it’s hard to believe that you can go skiing here. But Italy is home to some of the best ski slopes in Europe and can cater to even the most advanced skiers. The magnificent Dolomites mountain range is located in the north-east of the country and makes the ideal location for a holiday on the slopes. It’s also a brilliant hot spot if you enjoy mountain biking and rock climbing. It’s the perfect place to visit with your family, your partner or even by yourself if you wish. Italy is also far cheaper than other European countries, meaning you get a great skiing experience for far less. I haven’t done this myself yet, but I’d love to! You can relax on the beach

The beaches in Italy are considered some of the best in Europe and tourists from all over the world will visit to try them out for themselves. The Southern regions of the country, in particular, have some gorgeous coastlines you can enjoy. Head to the beaches in Costa Smeralda or Maratea to find white sands and crystal clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. They make the ideal location for a relaxing beach holiday that will help you forget all of your troubles back home. Plus these beaches are not as well known meaning they are far more peaceful and less crowded. To find out more about the charming Southern Italian regions visit italyheaven.co.uk.

You can learn about the history

If you like to learn as much as you can about a country when on holiday, Italy will not disappoint. With historical sites, beautiful architecture and markets to visit, there’s plenty to see and do. A definite must see are the Roman ruins.  Here you will find temples and buildings that are approximately 2000 years old and give an insight into how people lived back then. They are unlike anything you see anywhere else and will make your trip to Italy a truly memorable experience! Historical ruins can be found throughout the country, so to make sure you see the best ones take a look at historvius.com.

Hopefully, these three reasons will have made your decision to visit Italy ridiculously easy. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for romance or adventure; you are bound to find something you enjoy in Italy!
