My Guide to Becoming the Best Version of Yourself

Everybody should aim to become the best possible version of themselves. Don’t get me wrong; I’m not saying I’m there yet. I’m far from where I think I should be to be the best version of me, but the point is that I’m getting there slowly. Use this guide to become the best version of yourself too!

Work Out What You Love to Do

When you do more of what you love, you’ll be a happier version of yourself. Whether you love to paint, sing, or build model bridges, you should do lots of it. Indulging in your loves and hobbies this way will teach you a lot about yourself, and you might even find a way to make a living from it. One of the best ways you can hope to make a living is doing something you love!

Be Happy Now, Rather Than Later

This is something I’ve noticed a lot lately that I think needs to be addressed. People are always waiting for a moment to be happy. They say they’ll be happy when they’ve hit their target weight. They’ll be happy when they are married. They’ll be happy when they have kids. But then they never truly STAY as happy as they like, and again they wait for this moment to be happy. The next happy moment. Why not just be happy now for no reason other than we’re alive? There are so many reasons to be happy, and yet people don’t realise it until something happens. They get a cold and become unhappy, but were they truly happy and appreciative when they felt fine? No! Try to make an effort to be happy each and every day. We choose to create the things we feel, so remember that.

Develop Yourself However You Can

Developing ourselves shouldn’t stop with school. We should do it all throughout our lives! Do this however you can, whether it’s taking random classes you’re interested in or reading lots of books. Learn as much as possible.

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Nothing good ever happened in a comfort zone. I was actually thinking about this the other day. When I think of the best things I’ve done so far, like the very best things that I feel have had a big impact in my life, each one of them made me feel uncomfortable at first. It would have been much, much easier not to do them than to do them. And I did them anyway. I’m so glad I did. I’ve realised that good things happen when you step out of that comfort zone. Yes, it’s scary, but it’s so bloody worth it!

Work on Your Flaws and Bad Habits

If you have flaws you’re aware of, work on them as best you can. It can be something big or small. Do you have a tendency to show up late all the time? Work on it. Do you smoke? Quit with the help of an electronic cigarette shop. There are a ton of resources you can use to help you, but you have to really want it. Think of all of the ways you can improve and do what you can. Work on one at a time so you don’t feel overwhelmed.

The truth is, we can all improve in some way or another. This should never really stop, all throughout our lives. We should constantly learn, grow, and develop ourselves. Leave your thoughts below!
