3 Ways To Take Back Control Of Your Life

Life can sometimes feel like a bit of a rollercoaster. With it’s mundane daily rituals, extreme highs and lows and an array of life-changing experiences it’s easy to feel like it is sweeping you along. It’s time for that to stop. Whether it’s friendships, bad habits or just a new start you need to take back control of your life. Here are four ways that will help you get the life you want and make yourself the best version of you, you can be.

Re-evaluate your relationships

Start by thinking about the people you spend the most time with. These should be people you speak to or hang out with on an almost daily basis. Is there anybody that comes to mind who brings you down and makes you feel unhappy. Are they selfish and unsupportive? This is the ideal time to discuss their behaviour or get rid. It may sound harsh, but life is hard enough without having to deal with these kinds of people. Taking a step back or being brave and confronting this person is a scary but great first step. Never be afraid to stand up for yourself and demand the right respect from others. Don’t feel bad for cutting toxic people out of your life.

Stop making excuses

Is there something in your life you really want to do or change? You need to stop making excuses and just get on with it. You may need additional support from your friends and family, but nothing is impossible. If you want to quit smoking but don’t know how, talk to your doctor or use Eliquids from Flavour Factory. If you want to go travelling, create yourself a savings account so you can put money aside. Nobody is stopping you, only yourself.

On the other hand, you may also be making excuses for other people. Don’t excuse bad behaviour or give anybody permission to treat you disrespectfully. Especially if they blame it on personal difficulties they have experienced. You need to address these issues head on or walk away for good.

Make a budget plan

Money issues can cause a lot of stress and anxiety if you let them get out of hand. Keep track of your spending by creating your own budget plan. It doesn’t have to be fancy as long as it works. This will make it easier for you to keep on top of all your bills and other expenditure. Be smart with your money. It’s nice to treat ourselves from time to time but try to consider the bigger picture. Do you really need a new pair of shoes? If you don’t buy them, you could put the money towards a romantic meal for your boyfriend – or in that travelling fund we talked about earlier! It’s important that you know exactly what is coming in and out of your account each month and also have some savings as a backup. This should make help ease your money woes no end.

These are just three ways to take back control of your life. It’s you who needs to assess which parts need changing or not. Simply learn from your mistakes and make your happiness a priority!

5 Reasons You Should Take a Holiday and Where to Go!

I love travelling and seeing the weird and wonderful sites our planet has to offer. But I’m also a keen advocate on the idea of holidays. Vacations or holidays give you a chance to get away and relax. You have the chance to stay in one place or travel to many with the objective of self-fulfilment. Travelling seems to require a lot more work and energy than I can spare every time I want to get away. So check out my top 5 reasons for a little self-indulgence and why you should take a holiday:

Relax – Most of us need a time out from our busy lives once in awhile. Spa breaks or even luxurious pampering holidays give you all the rest and relaxation you need. Peace and quiet can go a long way to restoring your energy levels and feeling rested. Choose somewhere on the beach, with the crystal clear waters lapping at your toes. Make the most of fresh air, sea breezes, and lots of pampering massages.

Food – If you love your food like I do, then why not take a foodies’ holiday? You can visit places like India to sample all the spices your senses can handle. Or better still, choose a gourmet vacation. Italy is the European destination that Emilia Delizia gourmet tours prefer to stimulate your taste buds. Experience every Italian flavour as you tour the key areas of gourmet produce in this beautiful country.

Fitness – If you’re looking for a boot camp or a Yoga retreat, then use up that annual leave and make a holiday of it. We all know how important fitness is to our overall health. Not had the time or the energy to address your lack of exercise lately? Then a holiday dedicated to your physical fitness could be the best break you take this year. Go with a friend, or head out to fitness heaven on your own for the perfect holiday.

Road Trip – There is nowhere quite like America for taking on a road trip. And the United States is the home of the luxury RV. Grab your girlfriends and make this the holiday of a lifetime. Choose your Highways and just drive. This kind of vacation is ideal for clearing your head, and seeing more of your favourite states. It also gives you plenty of opportunities to spend quality time with your best friends.

Cruise – For the girl who wants options, a cruise could be your best holiday ever. The big ships have lots of different restaurants on board, plus a gym and exercise studio. You’ll find spa facilities, boutique shopping, entertainment, and bars all on board. Best of all, your ship will have an incredible itinerary, stopping off at some of the most glamorous places in the world. Choose to laze on the beach, shop in the city or a guided tour of historical sites to keep you entertained off the ship. You really do get it all when you take a cruise.

Do you feel inspired to get away yet? Don’t wait too long – you deserve it!
